VERO BEACH, Fla. (May 3, 2019) - Renaissance Senior Living of Vero Beach caregiver Carla Pilot has been named the facility’s annual Going the Extra Mile award winner.
"Carla is most deserving of the 'Going the Extra Mile' annual award for our community in Vero Beach because she is dedicated to the residents and loves having the opportunity to care for them,” said Liz Earman, executive director of Renaissance Senior Living of Vero Beach.
Pilot, who has served as a housekeeper for the Renaissance Senior Living of Vero Beach community for nearly a year, displays exemplary dedication to the residents, their families and other team members.
Pilot was selected for the annual award out of a pool of quarterly winners due to her outstanding work.
“I enjoy having the opportunity to serve our residents and their families. I love being able to help the residents and make sure they are taken care of as they should be,” said Pilot.
The Going the Extra Mile program encourages residents, family members and employees to nominate team members who have performed exceptionally well in a specific scenario. The program committee reviews nominations each quarter, selecting a winner who receives a special parking space, a personalized plaque in the lobby and a $100 cash prize. The annual winner receives a $500 prize.
